Veranda Tamarin Hotel & Spa has recently launched a brand-new concept, unique in Mauritius, with the intention of providing their guests with a fully Mauritian adventure, with experiences in the West of Mauritius.

The concept is simple; guests staying at the hotel for a minimum of 4 nights receive credits that they can use for a list of experiences or benefit from a reduced rate for these experiences.

A sustainable and inclusive approach

Veranda Tamarin has carefully chosen local partners to work with as the hotel wishes to promote organisations in the West who place sustainable development at the heart of their activities.

The Explorer programme is also a good way to create jobs in the region.

A deeper Mauritian experience

Le Morne Brabant

The Veranda Resorts brand promise “Deep into Mauritius” underlines the resort’s wish to immerse their guests in the heart of the Mauritian way of life. Veranda Tamarin Hotel & Spa, just like the other hotels of the group, offers authentic activities around the culture, crafts, music & cuisine of Mauritius.

To refine and even embellish the Mauritian experience of its guests, Veranda Tamarin wishes to encourage them to discover the West of Mauritius, to taste the local art of living and to consider more closely the natural wonders of Mauritius with its Explorer programme.

This Explorer programme will also be extended to other Veranda Resorts across the island.

A wide range of experiences

Kayak trip down Tamarin Bay to meet dolphins

Whether you are an adventurer looking for a thrill or you simply like outdoor activities, you will definitely be interested in the numerous hikes with experienced guides (Le Morne Brabant, Les Gorges de Rivière Noire, la Tourelle de Tamarin…) or in a kayak trip down Tamarin Bay to meet dolphins or even better, go for a big game fishing trip – Adrenaline shot guaranteed!

Slow paced adventurers will also find something to do, from culinary discoveries during a street food tour in the village of Tamarin, to interactive cooking, and learning about the coffee torrefaction process or a visit to the must-see places in the West (Yemen salt marshes, Martello Tower…). And why not try a paddle yoga session on the river?
